So, I guess I should update on where I stand on my decision about my college career, and my future career.
I have decided to finish out the year at TWU playing catch-up. I'll take my remaining cores, still taking opera and voice. My main goal is to bring my GPA up so that it's not a factor in admission decisions. I plan on transferring to a different university for Fall 2007. I'm aiming for University of Texas at Arlington because it's a good, LOCAL program, I've known students in the program, and I've met a voice professor. I'll also re-apply to Sam Houston State. I may or may not apply to Stephan F. Austin. They have a really good Education program, but it might be TOO selective. I'll just have to check it out. Right now, I'm researching Universities. I'm planning on transfering to a Music Education degree with a Choral Emphasis. All 3 of these universities have that (unlike TWU)
But, no matter what, I'm going to be in school for AT LEAST 3 more years because once I transfer, I'll have to catch-up on the year I've missed in music. But, I'm going to take Music History this year, and re-take Music Theory in the Spring. So those will be a couple less classes. Some universities only accept 4 semesters of ensembles, so I might be in a predicament there too. Who knows.
And, I don't have a Plan B. So, I'm up a creek if this goes belly up.
